Role Overview:
As the IT Director, you will lead a talented team of IT managers, overseeing technology operations, and implementing cutting-edge IT systems and policies. Your role extends to maintaining and developing existing and future systems, covering all IT disciplines, including Infrastructure, Application Systems, and Websites.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop the organization’s IT vision and translate it into actionable goals.
  • Oversee all technology operations, evaluating them against established goals.
  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support senior management strategies.
  • Analyze the technology needs of various departments and align them with business requirements.
  • Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.
  • Inspect the use of technology to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and report to senior management.
  • Coordinate IT managers and supervise professionals to provide guidance.
  • Control the budget and report on expenditure.
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts.

Requirements and Skills:
  • Proven experience as an IT Director or in a similar role.
  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems.
  • Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, etc.
  • Experience in controlling information technology budgets.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication abilities.
  • Formulating and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Flexible and pragmatic approach to manage changing requirements and priorities.
  • Extensive experience managing 3rd party arrangements.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Experience managing teams in different countries and time zones.
  • Ability to effectively liaise between local business units and wider IT teams.
  • Acts as a focal point of communication between business leaders and IT Teams.

Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
  • 5 years’ experience managing diverse IT Environments at a senior level.
  • Proven experience of managing multi-discipline teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing teams.
  • Extensive people-management experience.
  • Experience of implementing both in-source and outsource arrangements.
  • Wide experience of management of 3rd parties.
  • Pragmatic and flexible approach.
  • Able to prioritize competing demands.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Commercial understanding and budgetary ownership.
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK.
