The primary purpose of the role is to own, lead and champion marketing technology for the business and our clients, operating as a technologist, consultant and manager for the marketing technology team.
This role has been created as part of a wider transformation programme and therefore we’ll be looking for someone who can define and implement an appropriate martech strategy and framework with support from the Solutions Delivery Director. The role will also see the individual actively involved with day-to-day client activities working alongside others such as development, test, digital, project management, planning, analysis and commercial.
Overview
- Own and lead the definition and implementation of a marketing technology function, inclusive of necessary tools, practices, and principles.
- Provide line management and mentorship for our marketing solution analysts.
- Maintain a technology capability assessment with regards to existing marketing technology currently in use within the business and our client solutions.
- Drive the adoption roadmap, providing suitable options that satisfy required capabilities across varying levels from small, medium to enterprise offerings.
- Support the business with downstream enablement and adoption practices when brining in new marketing technology.
- Take ownership for the associated vendor partnerships and nurture these relationships.
- Work as part of a multi skilled, multi-disciplined client facing team, engaging with prospects, and existing clients from a consultative manner to serving as a super-user and martech evangelist.
- Provide and oversee training for internal users and end clients.
- Proactively communicate within the team and with the client regarding progress, risks, issues, considerations, and solutions available to ongoing requirements or challenges.
- Support a knowledge share culture, creating necessary content and sharing updates from the ever-evolving marketing technology landscape.
- Support and mentor members of the broader solutions team and wider business whilst also contributing to our ways of working, embracing, and endorsing continuous improvement.
