Job Purpose
As a PPC Specialist you will be responsible for several PPC campaigns across multiple platforms.
You'll work with data in real time, analysing trends and results, while simultaneously thinking creatively about improvements and strategies to optimize PPC campaigns to maximise spend and lead to conversions.
Your main focus every day will be on maintaining, launching and developing campaigns that generate revenue for the business, using learnings from previous campaigns, analytics and digital trends.
PPC is only part of the mix of digital marketing services. You may get the chance to work in a broader role where PPC forms part of what you do but not all of it. Closely related specialist areas include search engine optimisation (SEO), digital strategy and digital PR.
 
Principle Accountabilities
  • Monitor and improve performance of PPC campaigns across Google and Microsoft, anlysing detailed trends and sharing with growth team.
  • Continue to roll out cutting edge techniques such as smart bidding and dynamic ads..
  • Explore new opportunities such as campaign structures, keyword targeting, landing page strategy to improve PPC performance, ensuring a rigorous test and measure approach is used.
  • Test and optimize Ad copy and creative.
  • Work closely with SEO, content and social media exec to ensure optimal balance between paid and organic search visibility.
  • Provide daily, weekly, monthly analysis and data as needed to support Head of Digital with business decisions.
  • Support as needed with other digital activity such as website content management, display, affiliates and social media advertising.
  • Ensure all advertising adheres to regulatory standards and requirements, in line with company policies.
 
Skills and Experience:
 
  • A thorough working knowledge of Google and Bing advertising channels and Google Analytics is essential
  • An understanding of how to measure and analyse key PPC metrics
  • Ability to use Google Tag Manager to track website activity and performance
  • Ability to copywrite effective, accurate ad content
  • Confidence to report on findings with accuracy and make recommendations
  • A good understanding of how PPC fits in to the wider area of digital marketing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data manipulation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A good level of mathematical ability
  • The ability to think creatively
  • The ability to think strategically and develop innovative marketing strategies
  • The ability to present information effectively to a range of audiences
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication skills
